What You'll Learn

You’ll gain prerequisite knowledge and skills for advanced studies in occupational therapy through coursework in psychology, human anatomy, and other foundational areas. At the beginning of your senior year, you’ll enter our professional occupational therapy program and proceed to complete 12 graduate-level OTH courses toward your MSOT or DOT.

Get a Head Start on Your Career: You’ll position yourself to graduate from our MSOT or DOT program and sit for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy exam a year early by earning a total of 36 OTH credits during your final undergraduate year.
Develop Practical Expertise: This program incorporates diverse experiential learning opportunities, including OT Pro Bono Clinic observation activities during years one through three and full-fledged practice experiences during year four. As you discover your strengths through hands-on engagement, expert faculty mentors who prioritize teaching will remain close at hand to offer you personalized guidance and support.

Associate Dean of Saint Gianna School of Health Sciences, Chair of Occupational Therapy, Director of Occupational Therapy (Bismarck & Fargo)

I serve as Chair of the Occupational Therapy Program and have had the opportunity to develop the program from an entry level master’s degree to the doctorate degree, as well as establish sites in Billings, MT and Fargo, ND. I am a life-long learner and enjoy working with other educators. Personally, I am married to my husband, Brad and we have two grown daughters, with families of their own. We enjoy travelling, spending time outdoors, and gathering with friends and family. I also like to spend my time being creative through crocheting, paper crafts, and quilting.
